About Me

I believe everyone has the right to health care, and that mental health care is a vital part of a healthy life. I believe everyone has the ability to change and grow, and find new and healthier ways of coping when life is challenging or when feelings of depression or anxiety become too much to handle.

I believe good therapy happens in a safe place where trust and unconditional regard are key ingredients in supporting clients on their path toward healing and growth.

I received my Master's of Social Work degree in 2016 from Walla Walla University. My clinical experience and areas of interest have been working with adults experiencing new life changes or suffering from depression, anxiety, the effects of trauma, and substance use disorders.

When working with my clients, I focus on being an active listener, paying attention to all aspects of the conversation, and providing empathetic feedback with unconditional regard. I find it important that counseling sessions occur in a private and safe space, to allow a trusting relationship develop, and for the process of healing to occur.

While my therapeutic approach is free-form conversational, I have trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and the Motivational Interviewing style. Ultimately, I select my approach to fit the needs of each individual client.

I work with adults seeking relief from symptoms of depression, anxiety and the effects of trauma. A clinical focus of mine is assisting clients in managing life changes such as relocating to a new city, adjusting to new employment or career.
